Its only fair, theres a stamp thats the other way around.
I do like Kimba more than I like Simba for a few reasons
1- Kimba was much stronger as a cub than Simba and fought his own battles.
2- the story was more touching and meaningful. And its different compared to other stuff I've watched.
3- the (1989 series i watched) story was more serious, every Disney movie i watched when I was a kid were all the same, when I watch Kimba for the first time I was like 0.0; this is different (yay no cheezy singing)
4- its a classic, and its different. Sure its old and made in the 1960s/80s etc, but at least I can take some time to appreciate and older film. Kids these days only care about flashy graphics and 3D
5- Kimba had a different life than Simba, he lost both his parents and now has to live life on his own, which to me adds a nice twist to a story
I know theres always wars involving Disney copying Kimba, and I have my sides and views but thats not the point of this stamp.
to be clear, I dont mean everybody, just a big majorityI know why people like Simba better, people like him better because he was made in your time, you were born in a time of new technology of animation, with new crazy 3D effects so kids like you will look at Kimba and say 0.o eww its old.
Face it, its the truth.
Kimba may not have that flashy 3D specialy computer made graphics but Kimba DOES have character and he isnt a lion you meet every day. Plus Kimba's design maybe old and not exciting to you, but at least hes different. Lion King was different, but all the fans have adopted this style and just cant seem to create anything different themselves. Kimba stands out once again.
You may not like Kimba (and I bet you havent given him a chance), but he is still loved and adored by his fans for over 50 years, and still to this day & forever
of course I Simba's defense, I am still a YLK fan, have been since I saw the movies at the movie theaters back in 94, but as a kid I was a lion king fan and then a fan of something else, the something else, then something else. Lion King was just another movie for me. Kimba stood out to me, when I watched Kimba, everytime I watched something new, I continuously went back to it.

I think the proper term would be inspired off of although the Lion King was gonna be a Kimba movie from what I heard at one point I think Disney could of just gave a “inspired by Osamu Tezuka’s Kimba” or something that wouldn’t been to hard if they let their ego go and Kimba fans wouldn’t have been so offended not that Kimba fans are all that whiny as TLK fans by searching stamps on dA are obviously they more bratty and drama seeking of the two fandoms, both have their flaws though and I like both TLK and Kimba as both have their unique styles.
Although that one Hitler!Scar scene was a bit random although they may have done that to make him look more evil idk..
